In search of the perfect large family tent I finally found the Bergans of Norway Wiglow! This tepee tent hybrid is amazingly spacious, bombproof, and has a bug net. I went in search of something unique and something that was just fun to look at, yet be large enough for our family of 6 (so far). This led me to tepee style tents.
I found several makers out there but they all were close to $2,000! More searching went on and I stumbled across a Norwegian camping store online. I went through all the reviews (translated into English) and could not find a single video review or good review in English. The price using my cell phone was about 50% off from retail, making it around $700 with the tent and inner tent combined! This was a deal I could not pass up so we took the chance and got it.
The first time I set it up in our yard I didn't use the inner tent. It was huge and easily swallowed anything we put inside. The kids loved it, and it brought a smile to all our faces just looking at it! There are over 30 guy out lines, not including the regular ones included. This tent is truly bombproof and is stable in high wind areas.
We were able to use it for a week long family reunion. During the night we hit high winds and several nearby tents shredded and you could see snapped steel poles. During this storm I used 80% of the guy out lines and we didn't feel any movement in the tent. Truly outstanding!
Setup takes around 20 minutes total including using the inner tent. The inner tent simply snaps inside, and the kids love helping with this! The inner middle pole has almost a puzzle like storage and is really ingenious how it works. Rotating them one way allows it to store, the other way makes them stack. Inside our tent we had a massive queen size bed on one side, normal pack and play in the middle behind the middle pole, 3 kids sleeping bags/pads, and plenty of room to spare. It was 100 degrees so we cheated and ran a fan inside the tent, but outside of the inner mesh tent so we didn't have to worry about fingers. When it wasn't stormy we took off the peak to open up the tip of the tepee. This is a sweet feature that really allows some awesome ventilation. If I was thinking I would have taken a video! Even with everything closed up, with a fan we were able to get an incredible amount of airflow. There are side vents as well as the peak vent so heat is easily able to rise and get out.
The steaks that came with the tent are actually usable too! It comes with a crazy amount of stakes in case you want to guy them all up. As we were packing up we got many comments on how they couldn't believe how big the tent was, yet how small it packs up. This is no backpacking tent, but it truly packs up crazy small for how big it is.

This is the tent to get if you are looking for a fun family car camping tent. We have had so many comments and conversations with strangers about our tent in the two times we had it setup. Even our UPS driver wanted to know more about them! I am not aware of any US retailer, but we got ours from Exxped, which I highly recommend after getting ours there.
I evidently didn't grab any photos of it from the outside. Next time I am out I will try and take some. Sorry! Here are some factory photos.
